I was wondering if i can convert my super a to a C with the governer? I installed the 3 1/8 pistons and sleeves when overhauled. Just wondered how they accomplished the extra ponies with governer speed.

You went from 113cuin to 123cuin no change in the gov is needed. If you want more rpms just back off the cap screw on top of the gov next to the input lever.

Thanks, this one just doesn't seem to wind up like my other super a that was overhauled several years ago by someone else. I set the governer by the book according to the linkage and throttle all the way forward.

is the input shaft worn and sloppy as that makes quite a difference they can be rebushed then throttle response will be correct. Just bore out the hole and install a 5/8X1/2 brass bushing mite have to trim the length a little after installing.
