Hi, found a 47 H with a suffix "...XJ"
Looking at the suffix codes, I don"t see XJ
There"s X1J, but it"s stamped XJ.
Thought I remembered something about the J indicating a Rockford clutch? Any help?
Thanks.

This info is out of Guy Fay's book.
X1J = Gasoline,seven mph high-speed gears, 5,000-foot altitude.

There is no suffix code 'XJ' Either it was misstamped, or mabe there is a 1 inbetween the X and the J, but it was not stamped hard enough and may be hard to see?

The only suffix code that I see relating to a clutch of any kind is X23 - Auburn clutch.

I thought the J suffix meant it had a distributor ignition.
