Just was curious if hy-trans oil eventually breaks down & how ofter others drain the old & fill with new? Thanks

Granger: That depends on how much your using them and how clean you keep the oil. Tractors that are parked a lot have one major enemy, that being condensation, and forign material comes second, third is low hydraulic oil creating heat. You look after those and I don't think Hy tran will ever break down. Now,if your not using the tractor more than 500 hours per year that condensation is a hard one to beat. Two years and you should be changing the Hy tran

I,ve run 4 tractors 10,000 hours between HY tran oil change, but those hours were going on in excess of 1,000 per year.
