Hello

Ever since I bought my 340U, it"s taken alot of pressure to shift gears. Is that just the nature of the tractor, or are there any adjustments or things I can do. Just happen to have the gearshift off to facilitate removal of the hydraulic valves for overhaul, so I thought this would be the time to look at it. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

I have an idea - when your overhaul is complete, I think you should truck the tractor out here to the Badger State for me! In 4-H we call this an inter-state exchange.

If it has a TA it needs to be adjusted. You need to get a service manual and it will tell you step by step how to adjust it. You can order service manuals at the top left of the home page on this site. or about any large farm store that has tractor parts will have them or can get them.
