I got the tractor to run and drove it around untill it quit.I found there is no fuel comeing out of the tank.I tried pushing a wire up from the bottem, but it seems there is something in there.Do i drill out a hole or is there a fuel pump in there? The tractor looks like a 584 can anyone help?

Hi Larry, Hydro 84 is same as 784 with D246, 4 cyl Diesel but with Hydrostatic drive.

You have to take the stop cocks out of both sides of the saddle tank and drain the tanks.
No fuel pump in tank. It is gravity feed to injection pump. If you remove the fuel line at the inlet to the fuel filter(s), the fuel must flow at a rate to fill the fuel line pipe any less and you will have problems.

Sometimes taking compressed air and blowing back into the tank from the fuel line at the inlet of the fuel filter(s) will fix the problem temparilly but problem WILL COME BACK.

My brothers 684 had the remenants of a lady bug that would restict the fuel flow.

Good luck
