I have recentlly aquired a International Model B as neer as I can tell it is all original and in good shape. My problem is it won't start. I have fire at the plugs although it seems week. any suggestions would be helpfull. How do you time this ditributor

Thanks for the info. Whoever had this tractor befor me had #1 plug wire going to #4 and wired everything backwords. Will try out sat. I assumed wires were correct,should have known better.

Take all the plugs out. Put your thumb over #1 plug hole (the one closest to the radiator) and turn the engine over slowly. When the pressure tries to push your thumb off the hole, you are on the compresion stroke. Shine a flashlight in the hole and turn the engine until the piston is at the top. This is top dead center (TDC) of #1 cylinder. Set the distributor so the rotor points at the contact for #1 plug wire. Put the plugs back in and connect the wires. The firing order is 1342.
