I am new to the tractor "family" and purchased a complete "A" that runs but needs to be restored. I would like to purchase any sort of blade setup for it to plow snow. I do not have any attachments for it so I will need all levers brackets etc..
I am not looking to make it a showroom condition unit but I do want it to be nice. Any ideas or feedback on restoration and parts availability would be great!!
Thanks
Jamie

Thanks for the input. I have ordered parts and service manuals already just playing the waiting game.

I get most of my parts from my Case/IH dealer. They are a little more expensive but worth it in most cases. Implements for your A should be easy to get as they are plentyful. That I know of however, IH never made a snow plow blade for the A. Super A yes, bet not straight A. You can fabricate one easy enough but finding a way to lift it is the problem. The guys here will help you with most of your restoration questions. Congrats on the "new" tractor. Dave.

I might have a way to lift it. I have read a very little bit about using the exhaust to lift and my tractor has some sort of exhaust diverter that heads for a valve on the RR side of the block. The levers still move but I am not sure it still functions(or will ever be able to).

I should have said that you should get Owners manual and Service manual first. They are available from many sources. I use binder books on the internet and I have always been happy. Dave(again).
