I went to a sale yesterday and picked up a beat up old red tractor that I think is a 300 utility. Don't know if it's a 300, or 350 as the serial number plate only had the serial number. How do you tell? I have a 300 row crop, but this is a different kettle of fish all together. It has factory PS (that does not work, yet) Don't have a book on it,,,yet. Any ideas on the power steering? The PTO doesn't work, put the hydraulic lift works good, and it runs great. At least I got it cheap. Look out for more Q's.

300 steering wheel spokes are metal, 350 wheel is all plastic with large center. DM

Look above the oil filter and see what number is stamped on the flat. The 300 was a C-169 the 350 a C-175
The 300 had a much simpler lift arrangement on the rear as well as a different tupe of mounting for the wishbone on the front axle. If you can pull a horizantal pin and lift the fast hitch arms, "float it" it's a 300.
There is only a couple of horse power difference as the 350 had a little bigger bore. If it has power steering, it may very well be a 350. They just did not put that many PS units on the 300U. There are other minor differences such as ignition switch loaction etc....but you need both to compare the differences.
