Was woundering if some one could tell me the difference between 460u and 460 hi utility. Also from what i can read of the serial tag it has a suffix letters s and Y. From what i read the y means Hydra-Touch Power Supply Attachment with 12 g.p.m pump. What does this mean. Thanks in advance

I have a 460 Hi Utility. Basically it is a utility with the 460 row crop rear end, axles and wheels (38 inch). It replaced the 350HU, which has a similar configuration. I believe it has the same ground speeds as the row crop. As with the utility, you straddle the transmission housing, so it has the utility trans cover, seat, clutch and brake pedals. The front spindles are also longer. S means you have a TA "with provision for" a 540 rpm independent pto (you likely have the pto). Y is a 12 gpm pump (IH made more than one), and a low and reverse attachment. Far as I know that means standard gears, unless someone corrects me. An X suffix means a "high speed" low and reverse attachment
