300u exhaust manifold

The exhaust on my 300u has been converted to go up, and I want it down. Atleast could get it in the granary to work on it then.
One source informs me the exhaust exits the manifold going up, then goes through a 180 degree turn down. Another provided me a drawing from a parts book and the exhaust goes out the side.
Which is correct, and how does the exhaust pipe fasten to the manifold, threaded into or bolted on?
With conflicting answers so far, I guess the most convincing, or maybe the majority, wins this one.

The manifold that Dave mentioned is the correct one for the underslung exhaust.

Try a Case/IH dealer. part # 362299R1. If they can't get it, then go to an auto parts store, get some manifold gasket material and make your own. This could be your only choice.

IH used two different manifolds for the vertical & underslung exhaust. The vertical manifold is basically the same one as used on an H or Super H. Exhaust comes out the center of the manifold. On the underslung system the exhaust exits on the front/side of manifold. It has an elbow that attaches to manifold that turns exhaust downward. Exhaust pipe is flanged and attaches to the elbow with a clamp. I have seen the elbow turned up with pipe attached and run through the hood, not correct but I guess it works. Determine which of these manifolds you have !
