Can someone tell me the original tire sizes for front and rear of a Farmall B. This tractor was just overhauled and now I'm working on lining up the paint and cosmetics. It's gonna need 4 new tires to be complete. The tractor's 250 miles away from me at the moment, and I want to get tire sizes so I can start shopping around. Any suggestion on brand(s)/Type? I want to stay with the original ag-bar. The tractor still has the original ag-bar, closed pattern (kind of sideways squares) Any tire manufacture reproducing that old pattern?
Thanks

JIM BECKER has nailed it good. You wiill have to measure your rims to see which you now have. FIRESTONE has original tread in 8.3x24 so does B.F. GOODRICH but i think they are 9.5x24. Firestone has the front 4.00x15 fronts with the ripple tread just like original and so does TITAN. Measure your rear rims outside. If they measure 9in they are 8in and so on. Dont know where you are located but there are imports that have the original 45deg rears. And that tread you described is also avail.

Was just browsing around on-line at the Firestone Ag tire website. They have a Firestone Field and Road G-R1 rear tractor tire, with the retro 1940's closed center pattern tire. However, it doesn't look like they have it in the 9X24 size. I'd love to stay with the old tread pattern design. Any ideas where else to look for new tires with the old pattern?
Thanks for your replys and help.

I have an original set of rear tires for a Farmall A or B if you need them. They are like new and they are 45 degree lugs like way back when.

Hey 1031D. I may be interested in those original tires that you have, although I'd prefer to find a set of the closed bar pattern, like is on the tractor now. The one's on there now are about shot. Where are you located? I'm in northern Ill and the tractors in SE Iowa.
Thanks for the reply.

I'm just south of Milwaukee on the WI/ILL border.

Multiple sizes were available. Standard size changed over time. You can get closer to the original size by measuring the rims (if they are even the original rims).
Rear options:
8-24 on 7" rim
9-24 on 8
7.00-24 on 5.5
10-24 on 9
11-24 on 10
Duals:
4-30 on 3
5-30 on 4
Front:
4.00-15 on 3.00
5.00-15 on 3.00
Single front:
6.00-12
7.50-10
