Little Cow stood longingly watching big cow drink leisurely, the draw of her thirst taunting her. Big cow was something to be reckoned with, she stood a foot higher and had several hundred pounds over her, most of all were the dreaded horns. As far as horns went big cow had the best, about 14" horns curving gracefully so the tips were about parallel and even with her forehead. And big cow knew how to use them , she was queen of the barn and could even put Bully Bully in his place when she so deemed it appropriate. Little cow stood ever so patiently but finally her quest for the cool water began to overcome her and her fear of big cow began to wain proportionately to her thirst. Then as fast as the moment itself little cow lowered her head and stepped straight into big cow thrusting forward and up as she used the power in her legs to reef as hard as she could, the hit placed strategically behind big cow's front quarter just below the rib cage. Big cow as surprised as damaged let out a small bleah as she swung away and stepped back and away from the trough. Little cow stepped forward and drank long draughts of the clear water in the trough, the barn grew quiet but for the noise of little cow's quaffs and the hiss of the valve refurbishing the water she had just drank...heh heh..good for you I thought to myself as I pulled the stable door shut..... I didn't have much to do today did I...Mike in Exeter Ontario

we have this little pigmy goat that runs with the horses, about 2 foot tall and every once in a while she will start butting the bigger cows and their 1500# animals and she will not back down. the other day while doing chores i didn"t understand why all the steers were away from the grain bunker and when i peeked around that damn goat was in it eating the grain and every time a steer got close she rear up and scare them i guess. these are 750# animals afraid of a 75# goat. never a dull moment on the farm

I coulda wrote a similar story about my experience this afternoon, except it woulda been called "Big Black Bull Who Disliked ATV's".....main plot of the story woulda been a failed attempt at removing said bull from cow herd, with the suspense part of the story being Mr Bull's failed attempt at completely flipping over an Artic Cat four wheeler...he did manage to stand it on it's hind wheels and spin it 180 degrees, resulting in steam clouds from both the broken radiator as well as the driver's ears once it was determined driver's shorts were still clean... Moral of the story and part 2 will come tomorrow when the big artillery(pre-dented Chevy 4x4 with stout grillguard) is called in to hopefully educate Mr Bull a lot without crippling him and convince him that his job with the cows is finished for another year.

Hey Mr. N. C. .. Maybe you should not take your name so seriously. A comment like that might give some people an excuse to wonder. Anyhow, you can come up here and take part in the election and vote your fancy..... ..... ..... ....QR (you set out the line)
