My 1086 started popping out of low range a few days ago and now it wont go into low or high range. I still have reverse in 1,2,3,and 4th. Pulled the floorboard and the linkages all move like they should. What has come loose and how far do I need to pull it down to see/fix the problem. Any help is appreicated. Thanks, davids

range shifter fork rail has slid back causing fork to fall down and needs to be replaced with updated shaft for Case IH that uses two snap rings. shaft can be installed from rear of unit and also by removing range cover.

I am guessen that one of the roller has broken and also some ware on the cam plate it will require pullen the top off the range trans and also removel of the side cover for the rev shifter on the left side of the rear end ahead of the rear axel and also and extra pair of hands .
