I know this has been discussed before but what is a good way to break in a new complete (head rebuilt, sleeves, rings, bearings, etc.) overhaul without hooking up to a plow or tillage equipment (weather will not permit). Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Well Hal has it right, also don't leave it in just oneplace as far as the trottle, keep changeing it off and on so it doesn't sort of lock its self in to one RPM. As far as figureing out a way to work it well theres all sorts of things you can do. Hook it to your truck and pull it, hook it to a trailor and pull that. There has to be something you need to do to make it do a little work.

I ran mine up a steep hill 3 or 4 times a day for about a week and then hooked up the plow & plowed with it. I then sold the tractor & the new buyer drove it home 12 to 14 miles. I happened to see it about 10 years later & they had put a belly mounted rotary on it. They said it was still running strong. Hal
