Going Price for TD-6

I was out in So Dak for Thanksgiving and found a TD-6 Crawler siting in the trees by the road. Found the owner, but he wants $2500 for it. It doesn't run, but he claims it ran when they parked it there years ago. It looks complete and has a home made blade. Tracks don't look too bad, especially the left one. It has a PTO shaft that runs a hydraulic pump for the blade lifting cylinders. Can anyone tell me if this is a reasonable price, as I thought it was high. Roger

IMO it all depends on the condition of the undercarriage and if or not the engine is STUCK! If the undercarriage is 20% or less it's a scrap heap, 90% it's worth every bit of that with NO engine. You can always give it an engine transplant but the U/C and running gear is very expensive. If I found one nearby with a 50% U/C and the engine needed tweeked for $2500 I'd jump on it

That's too much Roger. I been watching these come and go for the past year 'cause I am thinkin of buying one and I always research before I jump in. You can get a running one with a good bullgrader on the front for that kinda coin.

Kinda sounds like the owner really doesn't want to sell it. For $2,500 it should at least be running.
