My 686 with a d312 deisel has some unburned fuel coming out the exhaust. It runs fine with no indication of skipping. I think the injectors and pump are all original. I need help with ideas on how to diagnose what is wrong. Thanks

Put it under a load for 7 or 8 hrs and it will dry up.

Mapleride That is not all fuel some of it is oil. do to the oil you use, so recheck the oil spec's to make sure have the right oil, I would say not. With the right if you do as Allan said and get dried up it should stay dry.

Maple,

That is completely normal on these diesels.

Wrap 'er up and put her to work. Make her pull fer a livin' and that wetstackin' will disappear.

Allan
