did some serious questioning of Model C, before I made trip to look at what was suppose to be Demo Farmall Model C. Got all the wrong answers therefore concluded it was not A Demo!!! Someone had just put on some white sheet metel and white narrow front end. Found a Model C closer to home, will look at it tomorrow. Thanks everyone for all the info...

Keith

Hi Guys. just to let you know that the dealer up here in Lynden Wa has a Super C on the lot with cultivators on it that I understand they are anxious to move. Certainly is a restorable tractor but would need some work. I know these guys and the salesman very well ( for all the thousands of dollars I spend there ), so could ask what the bottom dollar is . I should check to see that it is Super and not just a C that has Super decals. I also know of another C that the estate is going to sell soon so I can check with that one too if you like.. I have a 200 which is basically the same rig and it is a very neat little rig. I have put in an offer on another one that had a fire under the tank and got pretty hot but could be restored. Should hear next week. Let me know Migraine

Thanks everyone for your valued input as usual. I have a special reason for making this purchasing. I have a son 19 that was born with brain damage and cerebral palsy, going to try to teach him how to repair and bring tractor back to life, also how to properly operate tractor safely. He has watched me in the process of restoration from start to finish. This way tractor will be his and he is like I was as a kid, if it his his will have more interest in IT. I am trying to help him find something that he can do in life without having to rely on others TOO much. He already drives my Honda Foreman 4wheeler which I only get to use 1 month out of the year ELK HUNTING :-)...Again thanks

Keith

You're a special Dad. It takes a unique person to have the ability and patience to raise a child like yours.

I'm with Jay. Those C's and Super C's are very impressive tractors. I really like my SC with the fast hitch and if things had been marketed correctly by IH it would likely be commonplace today in lieu of the common 3 point. Nothing can be easier to hook-up/un-hook and the utility of the fast hitch far surpass a 3 point capability. If you plan on using your C for any thing other then a show or parade tractor I would highly suggest you try and find a Super C with a fast hitch. I've had mine for over 6 months now and just can't lay it down for a restoration as it is used daily for lots of tasks. Nothing finer for raking hay and shuttling wagons to the barn. You will really be impressed with the capabilities of one once you find the right one. Enjoy the hunt. Hal

The bolster is white, centers red, rims silver -- obviously did not do his homework before he faked it.

I would also say thta the Super C is one of the most versitle tractors of its time (and still is!!). Out of all the tractors we have the Super C is the most used. It is the right size for all most any job. I think that it has to be one of the best Letter sereis Farmalls made. Just look at the numbers made. I think it was like over 100,000 Supers made and like units and it was only made for like 4 years. The C was also very popular with something like 80,000 units made in a 4 year run. Good luck with that C your going to look at. Andrew

What you planning on doing with the C? I've had my C, Mean Gene, 2 years now. Let me tell you, that is one impressive little tractor. Lots of power, nimble and pretty versatile. You'll like it.
