Still trying to find out if 1950 Cub s/n 111450 is alive and well somewhere or been junked or heaven forbid parted out. Would it be immoral or a hanging offense to change s/n??? Have a 1950 Cub and if I change a couple of numbers it'll match a birthdate. I figure all you Farmall guys will have an opinion. Sure don't feel right to do it if I can't find the original.

You're looking for a needle in a haystack to try and find that Cub. Changing the SN won't change anything either, it still isn't the same tractor.
Restore this one and enjoy it. Hal

It would be a HUGE coincidence if the owner of the Cub you're looking for read this forum. No need to be harping on it day after day.

I'm looking for a particular early '47 Cub, myself. It sat in a falling-down shed next door to where I grew up, and was sold in the years I was away at college.

All I can say is, good luck.

Three pieces.
You will get several strong opinions that (I hope) will disuade you from doing the number change thing. Though your intent is innocent, many changed numbers are done for profit/identity theft.

The number of cub owners here might (a raw guess) include 4-6 % of all owners at the most. Many 1950 cubs are scrapped and recycled. I would guess maybe between 40 and 60% are gone (or in the tall weeds/trees). Others may have better Ideas on this #.

Even those subscribing to different forums and this one together represent a limited subset of cub owners. And!!!!!even they probably won't go and look at their number to answer your request.

I'd let go of the intention, and be happy it was born in the same year.

Yeah, I kinda figured the same, but who knows, stranger things have happened. I am fortunate to find one that close. I kinda stumbled on to it.
This one makes three I own and will be a special restoration and a prized possession!
