I have 1958 Cub, and the hyd oil is weeping from under the resvoir. It doesn't pour out, but it leak around where the gasket is. I have tried to tighten the four bolts but still leaks. Anyone have any suggestions what I need to do, and how big of job would it be.
Thanks Tom

Tom,

The four bolts merely hold the unit to the tractor, and have nothing to do with pressure on the gasket. It's possible, but not real likely that you can remove those four bolts and raise the unit high enough to get at the bolts holding the bottom cover on to tighten them.

Maybe it's time to just remove the unit and overhaul it with new O-rings , gaskets, and screen? If you do decide to do so order the kit according to the part number on the casting. There are two different kits... and they don't interchange.
