I am ready to rebuild my International D179 engine and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to time the cam, injector pump, and ider gear? If you have a service manual or could tell me in words how to line all of these marks up I would be very greatful. Thank you and hope to hear from someone soon.

Hi Anthony, I have the pages scanned for a D239 engine from a 684 with a Bosh injection pump from the I&T service manual. The D239 is the 4cyl version of the D179. I believe the only difference is on the timing mark to use on the injection pump drive gear. The D239 being a 4 cylinder used the number 4 mark and the D179 being 3 cylinder uses the number 3 mark and if it was for the 6 cylinder D310 it would be the number 6 mark.

Uncover your email addres and I will email you the pages from the manual.
