Am looking at this tractor I saw in the paper....Say's it needs magnito work done on it...Is this a flange mount, or base mount? Impulse? How hard is it to fix this mag? I just got done making a new pall spacer for my Case RC, an retiming it...It works good now.Thanks for the help...I usually hang out on the Case board, or the talers...

Arthur, it's an International H4 magneto. Lots of them out there, any magneto shop should have parts or be able to recondition it for you.

Here's a link to one in the photo ads to give you a look at one. This guy may be a little on the high side for price, IMHO, but if that's all the tractor needs, it's an easy fix.

flange-mount clockwise with automatic impulse. not hard to fix. Might just need the points cleaned or somebody has gotten it out of time.

Thanks Guys...I don't think I'm going to be able to resist this deal...Add says "1942 Farmall A new block, pistons,sleeves,rings,and head. ran good needs mag work $600.
