How many different sizes of front ends did Schwartz make? Was there a size difference for the H, M, SMTA? Not interested in anything smaller than H. How would you tell which one you had or need? Were some parts interchangable? Is Schwartz still in business? Have tried Google and Yahoo search with no luck. I need the roller bearing for the spindle shaft, at bottom, but it is chewed up beyond readable. Anyone have a number for this or is it dependent on the "size/model" of the WFE?

What is the cost of a new wide front now a days for a farmall M? Just curious. Been looking for one in the area. Just not much around

Have you tried Marshall Machinery in Honesdale? I picked up a wide front for my 300 about four years ago for $425. They had quite a few of them lying around at that time. I found a front out in the field that was missing the wheels was all. Then on my way back to the office, I found another in a pile that was missing only one tire and had the same wheels as the narrow front on my tractor had so now I have a spare tire for it.

Here's what I found on Yahoo. Maybe contacting their Lester Prairie division would be best.

H and M fronts will interchange but you may have to enlarge the mounting holes. Also the spindles may be the wrong size and H and M hubs are different. Buy one with hubs on it and you should have few worries.

Schwartz was bought out by A&I products and still making wide fronts. Koozer Discount Tractor Supply is a dealer, as well a lot of case and JD dealers. I'm sure that A&I would have a website.

Do you mean the inner wheel bearing ? I have a Schwartz wide front on my H and could pull the wheel off and look, if that is the one you mean.

The OD of the spindle where in inner wheel bearing mounts is 1 3/8". There is a serial number or ID plate on the left side mounting angle iron that starts out IHC H... .
