spool valve- remote tank question

yep still workin on my ole h with a loader. the lift arms has single action cylinders the bucket has double acting cylinders. the problem i think i have is on the single line cylinders the spool valve has two outlets at this time i have one side plugged it seems to be loading the pump up pretty good when i go to lower the arms do i need to add another (return line) from the plugged side of the spool valve to the remote tank what you guys think?

Running a return line from the blocked port back to the tank will solve the problem and save a lot of wear on the pump.
