I am in need of a new Graphite type release bearing for my Super C. Can anyone tell me where I might get one. The local IH dealer can"t get them and the new style is pretty expensive ($160.00). Thanks in advance.

A standard throw out bearing for a Super C is about $20 and readily available from most parts houses, and certainly from your IH dealer. Is there something special about a "new Graphite type" bearing?

The carrier that I have is an older style that had the Graphite bearing in it. I really don't want to have to buy the new carrier and bearing if I can just replace the graphite bearing in my existing carrier for less money.

Another option would be to find a newer carrier for a reasonable price.

I had the same problem with my '52 Super C, and you'll find you'll have no choice except to bite the bullet and buy the newer style from IH... Those graphite ones were junk as far as I'm concerned. I tried to find one thru what is"Value Built" now, and they sent something totally different that wouldn't work... Save yourself the grief and buy the IH one

Thanks for the responses.

I guess this means the Graphite is really not available anymore.

Anyone out there have a resonably priced carrier for the new ball bearing type?
