finally got her running good and had a little bit of a high idle RPM. It was running good and then the wires near the ignition started smoking might have been the wire back to the generator.

The guy who tuned up the generator/cutout set it at 14 amps. Would this start burning a wire?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

I would look for a short on the wire down-line from the generator. If it"s grounded, 15 amps will heat it up enuff to smoke. If it is that wire, you"re probably best off to replace it with new.

I will have to go pull off the tank and the battery and get the multi meter out.
