I have a cold start hyd. pump whine. I have had a new pump installed, but still makes same noise, but goes away after 10 min. or so. Hydraulics are always working. Wondering what to check for possible oil starvation or air aeration in oil? Or maybe another problem. THanks for any input. jrw

We just replaced the hyd. pump on a 560. Had a really loud whining noise right away and we couldn't figure it out. We finally checked the power steering pump and that had failed as well. I would start by checking the fluid level and bleeding the system. Hopefully that helps.

After it warms up it seems fine. I would think that if it had a continually problem with air, it would whine all the time. I am not too familiar with the hydraulics on this thing. It almost acts as if there is a pickup tube of some sort that is cracked and allowing it suck air until it warms and seals, but not sure if that is how it works. Maybe a pressure relief valve stuck? thanks for the input though. I was thinking of purchasing this tractor from a friend of mine, but unsure if I want to tackle this problem or not. The clutch is pretty worn as well, (no more adjustments on the rod) jrw
