Does anyone know what the proper way to remove this loader is??

My dad bought this 560 tractor and the T/A - clutch need to be replaced. We are going to have to take the loader off to get them replaced.

We did have a 400 with a Koyker loader on it and all you had to do with it was put a couple boards on the sides and then take the cyliner pins out of the arms and the big stationary pivot pins out at the top of the loader arms and that was it. The loader would just sit on the support boards.

I dont see any such holes in the frame or any brackets on this F11 to add supports for the loader to sit on.

Thanks,

Robert

Robert,

I grab that cross-over "bow" with a chain hoist or another loader. PTO pump off, axle clamps and the front struts gotta come off too, of course.

I use an old overhead wagon hoist to take mine off. I made a crank to fit on the square where the speed jack drive line would attach to to wind the cable and lift it. That way even with the wide front, you can easily lift the loader and leave it hang until the next time you are ready to put it on.

In our country when I was growing up, about every ranch, ours included, had a couple large posts about 10 feet high with two or three 2x12's spanning accross the top of them that were used to hang these loaders on. I was pretty amazed the first time I saw a loader that would actually stand there by itself when ya took it off the tractor!

Hi Ron,

We used to do that too don and doff the F-10s. Fact is, the fist time I ever drove a tractor at the ripe old age of 5, it was tied up to one of those oversized hitchin' posts. :>)

Anyway, one day we happened to notice the dealers never had any posts up.

Finally dawned on us, to take the silly head off, block the rear end up and drive right out and over the front of 'er. :>)

This one doesnt have a pto pump. It runs from the outputs on the side of the tractor. I take it you pretty much have to take everything off of the loader though. What a pain!!!

I was hoping I could leave the upright standards on the axles like the koyker and just pull the top pins but doesnt look like it.

Robert,

The only pain to 'em is if you have a wide front, then it's a real stinker because you have to clear those front axles coming out. That's the reason a guy has to grab that bow.

On the other hand, if you have a trike, it's a piece of cake; just block up the two uprights, loosen the two axle mounts (they are built on a hook affair), take off the two strut bolts and back out of her.

Yup, just my luck, the new 560 is a wide front, our 400 was a narrow front.

UGH.....

Much to be said for Quick Attach Loaders

Well,

Except this F-11 will lift twice the weight twice as high. :>)
