I have recently bought a international tractor. I bought it to be a 300 utility, but it has no emblems on the tractor. It has fresh red paint over all the tractor and the grill is white. How can I tell if it is a 300 or 350?

Thanks Jayson

Have a good IHC front-end loader to fit your tractor.Red

Serial # tag on the right side of clutch housing will say I-300 or I-350. The engine will have C-169 or C-175 cast into it on the right side, just above the distributer. Engine ser.# is in this general location also, stamped in a flat pad. There's casting codes on most of the castings which will tell you the month, day & year of each part. Casting code example- 2-20-A = Feb. 20, 1955 (A=55 B=56 C=57 D=58).Can't determin by steering wheel, could have been changed to 350 style. I've seen 350's with both types of fast-hitches supposedly from factory, so this is not a reliable way to determine which tractor you have either. Record the serial numbers on chassis & engine. Let us know what they are and someone here will be able to tell you what you have.

I have one of each, the fast way to tell the difference is the steering wheel. 300U has a steel spoked wheel.
350W has a plastic spoked wheel. At least mine are like this.

No, the 300U's with P/S had a plate attached by the steering wheel nut saying "power steering". We had one with P/S but no plate though,so this may have not been used by IH consistently. 350's and up had the fully covered plastic wheels with a center button.

Does it have the fast hitch? The 350s had the weight transfer hitch I believe.
What does the Serial Tag say?
