Farmall H throttle question??

I tightened up the throttle linkage on my Farmall H by installing some brass bushings,2 new springs, that little block part etc. Nothing is binding. They were loose because I have a rocket governor and it has a stiffer spring. My problem is now, depending how I adjust the throttle rod where the 2 springs are, I loose either the top or bottom notch on the throttle handle. Any ideas on how to get that extra notch back? Thanks!!

I like mine set so that there is a just a little more if you pull the lever back past the last notch. The first 4 or 5 don't do anything.

I really don't think it matters -- if you pull the lever all the way back, even if it won't stay in that notch, the rpm does not increase, same with the lower. That's with the standard governor, if your governor is that sensitive, I'll withdraw my statement, as I've never used one of those. On the H's and M's I have driven, about the 3rd notch, maybe the 2nd, is wide open. This is with the sawtooth plate.
