IH W-9 Help!

I am going to be taking the engine out of a W-9. I have taken off the clutch cover and loosened the bolts holding the rear of the engine. There are two studs down into the frame beside these bolts. Do these need to be removed? Do I need to take the clutch loose from the engine before I take the engine out? Is there enough play in the drive shaft to lift the motor up over the top of the studs. Step by step info appreciated!
Thanks, in advance!!

I took the engine out of mine about7 years ago,Noy sure if I had to take the belt pully off,I think I did.The engine will come out with the clutch attached.I think there was a place to put in 2 bolts to screw in,so that it pushes the engine off of the 2 dowell pins.I think thats about it.It is a very heavey engine so make sure you have the right equipment for pulling it out of the tractor.

Early last fall I was involved in removing an engine from a WD9 to put in a TD9.My memory is a little fuzzy on this, but it seems we had to remove the belt pulley drive to get to a couple of bolts.I know that we pulled it out with the clutch still attached though.Sorry for such little information, but I hope this helps. John.

Thanks so much for the help. I did have to remove the belt pully to get the clutch cover off. I was going to try to pull the motor with a farmall H and pig pole but maybe I'll re think this thanks again.

I pulled mine with a 2 ton chain fall in the shop on an 8 inch I beam.I tryed picking it up with a Case 530 ,with a 3 point pole and it lifted the front end off the ground.
