Just pulled my maglight out of 2 gallons of 20 year old gear oil. Almost wanted to throw it out.

Had a battery go bad and leaked in mine. Had to use a pipe vice and pipe wrench to get end off.
Cleaned it up and it still works, but is sure ugly inside!

I buddy of mine dropped his out of the boat in late fall in his pond..Pond dried up enough come about July that he found it,still worked great..derned good flashlights..

Yea, just wiped it down with newspaper and it works fine. A little slippery though.
