I took the head off a stuck 100 yesterday. One of the lifter rods was bent like an S and the valves look pretty terrible. There's been water standing in the cylinders for a while. New to working on the INSIDE of Farmall engines, I was wondering when I look for parts if all the 100 engines were the same or is there something else I need to know about it. Thanks in advance. I read this site everyday, its my homepage. Matt.

I just went threw my 56 Farmall 100. I had a 68 140 engine for parts. there is some differences in the two. I did use the 140 governor , hydraulic pump, head, rods and cam and crank gear.. there is differences in some of these parts. I used the rocker arm shaft for the 100 on the 140 head. The valves are not the same. Took the guts out of the 140 gov and installed the 100 work’n parts. I was going to use the crank and use the 100 crank pulley but did not. The sleeve and piston set is very confusing. You will need to know the cylinder bore, and sleeve size were it fit’s the seal in the block. So yes you can mix and match parts from otter models. You will haveta look them over real good and see if they will match up to the 100 parts. I do not know if all 100 parts are the same but do know you can mix and match a lot of 100, 130, 140 engine parts for the 123 engine, The sleeves and pistons may not interchange. found that the 135 sleeve and piston set is different. If I kin help ya out on enny of this mail me
