I have a 504 with single front. Would like to put a wide front under it. I think the factory front had the tie rods in the front, and I want to stay away from that. Can someone tell me which schwarz front I need. Does a swartz front for a H or M work, or do I need one for a newer model like the 560, or is there a specific front for the 504? (I want the new style hubs with bolt on rims.)

The factory wide front would have the tie rods behind, not in front. We got a new swartz from our IH dealer, your's might know with one is right.

David: What I forgot to mention, I think if you go the Scwartz route, it has to be a special order. I forget the particulars but something is different on 504 from all other Farmalls

David: TP is right, and what is not so obvious in the photo, that factory front end is very little if any heavier than a Super C or 200. I bought one of these with a farm, it had 1200 hours on it at the time. Every day I kept that tractor it made my old 300 look better.

No, I think the 504's had them in front. I'd like to adapt a '06 wide front to my 504 because of the loader on it..... .....It is a Narrow front now.

TP,

I was all set to argue with ya, but looks like you're right and this one is a rather late '67 too. I'll be darned.
