Saw the M&W M sell yesterday with everything that M&W made for the Farmall M .It only brought $2750 which was a steal but heard that the auctioneer had a bid of $3500 in his pocket .This sale was at Anchor Illinois at the Elmo Meiners sale .If you have been to Gordyville or Penfield Ill. shows it is the one with the tags all over it showing all of the M&W accessories.

Illinois Cowman Thanks for the report on the M&W tractor. Do you have any more info on the sale like who got the tractor, or picture of the tractor ? What was the Auction Company and do the have a web site with the sale bill? Sure wish I would have knew about the sale. Had a 400 years ago with the M&W Add Power Kit and a few other extras, made around 80 hp and was a hard runner. Thanks for any info .

Yeah, I think you are right on the Art Warsaw, not 100% though. I think Elmo is the one who dreamed up these updates in the middle of the night, got up, and drew the plans for it on his bedroom wall, then engineers had to go to Elmo's house to get the plans off the wall. I have heard that story for years. I also heard that when the wall got full, they put new wallpaper up and he started again., heard rumors a few years back, someone bought the house and found some of the original drawings under the layers of wallpaper. As said, rumors, never found this be facts though. Quite an interesting man, I have been told.

I'd dare say at 2750 it is worth more in pieces than it is whole. (let me at it with wrenches)☺

Cowman, this tractor, to certain people is worth a lot more than it sold for. If I am not mistaken, Elmo Meiners was the M in M&G gear company. so this tractor probably was one that was used every time they got a new attachemnt for an M tractorand also has a lot of the accessories installed on it. in most circles, you are right, it is real high, but around here, that was reasonable because of the uniqueness of the tractor. :>)).

Howard
Don't feel bad, you are in Nebraska, I am 70 miles from that area. I should know about this, cannot expect you way out there to know who Elmo Meiners is. :>) I mean, you are good, but you cannot try to remember and know everything. I did not mean any disrespect by what I said.
