I have been told so many things by dealers, mechanics, farmers, ect;about the right hydraulic fluid for a touch control hydraulic box.
Does anyone know for sure?

Use Hy-Tran Ultra. Anything else will cause problems.

No, nobody knows for sure, at least not since they quit making "Touch Control Fluid," which is what's recommended in the owner's manuals. Even the venerable Hugh MacKay only "votes" for Hy-Tran.

The thing is, it's NOT that critical. Say what you want, but when it all boils down, oil is oil. In this case, it's a hydraulic system, so you want an oil that's suited for hydraulics. That means Hy-Tran if you're talking about Case/IH products.

Dixieland: I will second the Hy tran. I wouldn't consider anything else. Knock on wood, I have a SA and 130 that have never had hydraulic repair. Been using hy tran since introduced, and before that touch control fluid.

You can't go wrong with Hy-tran.
