use eching primer if you are covering bare metal then spray sandable primer over after as a sealer . keep from mosture till paint most primers resist moisture for about 36 hours.

I have taken the tractor apart piece by piece, cleaned each piece down to bare metal, filled any pits and then used a good quailty primer in a spray can on each piece. It is now fully reassembled. I thought it would be best to shoot the whole tractor with a spray gun in primer beffore painting.

If you do use a good primer sealer wet sand 600 grit paper air and wipe dry couple of times than tack rag off and than paint . best of luck! Jeff
