Being a new about 3 month's now owner of a Super C can I ask a dumb question? What is a heat houser and where would the chains attach that would destroy one? Don't want to make mistakes others have, would like to learn when I see a post and I don't know what it means. Thanks Terryj

I've heard of them being called "weather cabs" or "windbreakers," but never heard heat houser before. In fact, the one hanging in Dad's shop from the old 756 says "IH Windbreaker" right on the side of it.

Those things have one purpose in NM: to blow warm dust in your face and eyes while you are cutting cotton stalks in the late fall.

As I remember from my uouth (long time ago), It was a canvas blanket sort of that trapped engine heat and flowed it back to operator area. Therefore, if it gets tore up, cold.

Watch out if you have chains on the tractor, especially if they are a little loose. I destroyed a Super C Heat Houser -- hooked it with the chains and ripped it to pieces. After that it was COLD!
