Harold, where did you get your numbers. I have slightly different ones from the Nebraska tests.

The A, H, and M were all tested in 1939.
A 2.25, H 2.63, M 2.63

The C was tested in 1951
C 2.38

Not a big deal and I have no idea who has the right numbers, just curious as to the different sources.

Mine came from the specs in the 1952 "Tractor Field Book". The specs were furnished by IHC. Different tire sizes might be the difference and gearing might have been changed in some instances since 1939. Since I don't know of a particular gear change, I guess for the tire sizes. On a simular note, tractor weights are shown as different on different years of spec sheets. Same tractors with same equipment listed as standard, but different weights published. I have most of the "Field Books" from 1941 to 1954.

Paul,

Another reason for the slight differences, I believe the Nebraska Test speeds are actual observed speeds whereas the IHC published spec speeds are calculated speeds. Tire sizes and different tread heights make the speeds vary both directions from the calculated spec speeds.
