Was the Fast Hitch on a 300 different than on a 350? Some time ago on this board a strong recommendation was made to use a 450 or 560 Fast Hitch on a SMTA vice one from a 400. The resaon was the 450 hitch was simpler and better than 400 - but I can't remember the details. So if that is all true can a 350 hitch be put on 300 without major problems? Hope this question makes sense. Thanks for any help. Dick Davis

You can put the fast-hitch from a F-350 or F-460 on a F-300. No problem.HTH

The FH on the 350/450 and later had draft control. The attachment to the rear end was different between the two styles of FH. I don't think that the 300/400 version can be fitted to the SMTA or the 350/450. But I'm not sure about bolting the 350/450 version on a 300/400. The lift arm on the 300/400 version bolts to the top of the deck, so I believe it has a unique bolt pattern.

I"ve seen both types, the only differance noted is the later hitches had the split wishbone and the recievers would swing in and out independantly from each other like a 3 point arm. Would seem better for 3 point adapters.
