ok, ive fougt with this loader on an off for about 2 months now. i realy need help.
heres the setup
super a with hydraulic adapter block between the lines.
henderson loader (trip bucket)

my problem is this.
got the loader with block but no hydraulic controlls

i have a couple of different valve. but everyone i use has the same problem

i try to raise the loader and nothing, but if i tap my touch controlls while holding the loader valve then it will raise. after i lower and try to raise again, same problem.

the block has 2 holes in it. i asume presure and return. i ran those to holes to my valve's in and out. and my cylinder to "a" port. also tried b port one of the a or b caped off. what am i doing wrong.?

if any one knows what i need or how to do it please help and be specific, i dont know the lingo very well.

as in mono block dual spool and all that jaz.

thanks

It sounds like you have the extra valve tee'd into the pressure line from the pump to the touch control. (parallel)

What you need is to connect the output of the pump to the inlet of your new valve, and the "return" of the new valve goes on to the touch control (where the pump used to connect). (series)

Ideally, you should have a "power beyond" auxillary valve to do this, but since the Super A hydraulic pump is neither high flow nor high pressure, you can probably get by with a normal valve.

thanks for the quick reply, what your talking about should work if i knew how to hook it up like that on my tractor. i have one of those adapter blocks that goes between my live hydraulic lines and the touch controll unit. there are holes drilled in it to "tap" into the existing 2 lines. and yes in my opinion it is bypassing or bleeding off the factory hydraulics. but i have seen other henderson loaders set up like this (meaning, using the adapter block. just not sure how they hooked it up or what type of controll valve they used). i just dont know how to hook it up corectly. and again, i realy appreciate your help and quick reply.

While I have a "Super A", and am familiar with the hydraulics, I am NOT familiar with the adapter block. The smaller line from the pump is the pressure line, and I would think the adapter would be set up to divert the oil flow from this line to the auxillary valve. Could there be a plug missing from the adapter that is allowing the oil to flow into the Touch Control, rather than diverting it to the auxillary valve? Or is there more than one way to install the block, and it's installed wrong?

The only other thing I can think of... on "N" series Fords some people tap auxillary hydraulics into the pump test port, and the system functions much as yours does now. To make it work, they have to chain the 3-point hitch arms DOWN, and then move the hitch lever to "up". Since the hitch cannot rise, this provides the flow of oil to the auxillary valve. Maybe someone who knows about the adapter block will know if something like that is needed with your "A".

Not sure I fully understand what you are talking about, but I think you are trying to make it a lot more complicated than it is. If the loader is a trip bucket, then you don't need any kind of auxiliary control valve. Just connect the hydraulic hoses from the loader directly to your tractors outlets.
