For trailering issues, I need the gross weight of a stock "M" farmall.

I have a 7,000pd trailer an haul regular M's, H,s Super M's even two A's or two 100's at a time. I do have stablizer bars an a sway bar with large two an three quarters inch ball an pull them with a one ton ford dually with a 6.9.

Minumum 14,000 lb rated trailer? Thats sounds like a little overkill to me. A well built equipment trailer with two 6,000 lb rated axles is more than enough trailer to safely haul a Farmall M. My 11 year old Corn Pro trailer has two 6,000 lb rated axles with 16", 8 lug wheels and weighs less than 3,000 lbs empty. So with a 5500 0r 6,000 lb tractor that would plenty of trailer.

Have you been trailer shopping lately? Very few available with that 12,000# rating. You are looking at either 7,000#, 14,000#, or 20,000# rated trailers. That is why I said nothing less than 14,000#.

My 1 yr old Hudson is rated at 9990, made of 6" channel. Trailer weighs about 2000 lbs. I haven't hauled my Super M on it yet because it's too wide to fit with the wheels turned out, but I have carried the Super H with weights, fluid and a front loader. Stan(VA).

Guy Fay's "Tractor Data Book" lists it at 4,910 lbs. with the Lift All. Fluid in tires, wheel weights and belt drive and pulley add considerable more. Most folks consider it near but less then 6,000 lbs. for trailering weight.

Somewhere around 6,000 pounds, you will need a trailer with a minimum 14,000 pound rating.

My M with one set of weights on the rear, no fluid in the tires, with 16.9 X 38 tires, weighs 5750.
