I am going to look at am M this week with a mounted corn picker . I am not farmiliar with the M tractors and I need to know where to look for the serial number on this tractor.
What is the two row mounted corn picker worth and how difficult is it to use one of these things on an M.
The dude said it was used until last year when he bought a pull behind single row picker.
$1500.00 for the pair.
What do you think.

What kind of picker do you have on that tractor? I am a picker nut, and would love to know. I could give you some ball park prices if you give me the make and model of the picker. 1500 isn't a bad deal for both, unless the tractor needs work. If the tractor is in good mechanical shape, I don't think you could go wrong in a 1500 M. Good luck, and please, could you give me some info on your picker? Thank you very much.

The serial number is on a plate, mounted on the clutch housing on the left side of the tractor. The corn picker would add value to the tractor only if you had a use for it. Usually a mounted corn picker will reduce the value of the tractor, or at least not increase the value. $1500 sounds a bit steep unless the M itself is in fairly good condition.

SN is on the left side of the bell housing (clutch housing) if your on the seat. Running a picker is not to bad. Make sure everything works. You might get $250. to ? for the picker if it"s mechanically good and not too rusty.
