Can a normal guy fix these? And if not, which part numbers will work to replace? Same thing for the temp gauge. Thanks, Kent.

Those gages are "sealed" - the bezels are crimped to the housings. You can't open them up without destroying 'em (ask me how I know!). In addition the temp gage bulb & capillary lead is filled with fluid and sealed at the factory. Lose any of the fluid and the gage quits working.

If you don't want the trouble and expense of getting OEM or reproduction gages, visit your local Advantage Auto, Auto Zone or etc. and look at the Sun brand of black face mechanical gages. They're similar in look to the IHC gages and are priced around $20 each.

I don't think I'd attempt a repair on the guage itself. While you can live without an amp guage, you really shouldn't have to wonder what the oil pressure is. Replacements are not hard to find, any tractor parts and service dealer can get you what you need, and I would guess that auto parts retailers may have something on the shelf that would work. OEM tractor parts (reproductions of guages originally on your tractor), part suppliers listed on this site (new parts not always like the originals), and your local IH/Case/New Holland dealer can also get you what you need.

Thanks Slappy. NH parts system seems to be stuck in a holding pattern. It has been extremely slow getting parts this year. Anyone know why?

You can get OEM type gauges from OEM Tractor Parts, Steel Wheel Ranch, and numerous other places.
