What is proper injection timing for a '41 MD? It is currently set 4 degrees to the left of zero. I am assuming that marks to the left of zero are advanced. I am questioning because I rebuilt the tractor and want to verify that it is correct. Thanks for the help.

Get a reprint of the service manual. Instructions are in there for timing the pump.

Steve, The way I understand it there is no specific setting. You have to move it one way until the engine runs rough, then move it the other way until the engine runs rough or smokes, and then move back between where the engine runs the best. It took me a while to do it with my MD as you have to take the cover on and off each time. Roger
