Ok let me confess, I broke Grandpa's golden rule - If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Earlier I took my good running 656 Hydro and changed the Hydraulic fuild and filter. Now the poor old girl don't like to move very well in reverse, it also ver touchy in forward. I followed the steps in the Tech Manual - TSC version. What did I do to my new baby? Help!!!!

hi my brother in law bought a 656 hydro lastyear that didnt move. you could put it in forward all the way with about 3/4 throtle and it wouldnt whine, budge, anything. we tried to get a reading on the presure, it wouldnt budge a 5000 psi gauge. the farmer he bought it from said it worked fine till he changed the filter and fluid, then no movement. turns out a piece of dirt got into the presure relief valve and stayed there. before you get to excited though you should do what the previious post says and drive it to make sure you get all the air out.that took us a couple weeks of driving.

Hi Gibby,

Dunno, sounds to me like it has air in it.

Drive 'er around for a spell, work the controls and she if the air will work itself out.

Also, make sure you have the oil level up where it belongs.

Tryin' to help,

Allan
