I pulled the head off of my H casting number 8776-D. There is a large crack running from the center water jacket hole over to a stud hole.I took it to the machine shop to have it checked for other cracks and they told me it was junk not to check any more. Does anyone know of a rebuilder in the midwest or of a good head with that number. There used to be a place in Washington Il that did that work but I think they went out of bussiness.
Thank you for any help.
Matt

Hi Jed, A head for $75.00 sounds like a bargain.
I would only attempt having a head welded if they were scarce as hens teeth. Hal

I would look for a usable used head and not invest
any money in trying to weld that head. Hal
