Boy of boy, you guys told me how to fix the leak in my IHC-H hydraulic pump. Tested on the bench and is great!!! BUT.....how in the heck do I reassemble it and hook the control pin into the pump??? I crawl in there and do it but then I can't get out!!!

P.S.: Treat that guy, ABUCKMASTER in NY State with all the respect due him, and that's a lot!!! I had a broken casting in that pump and he sent me one gratis!!! These are the kind of guys that mess with old tractors!!! When you need a rebuilt mag for a Farmall just call him (may not be free gratis though)!!!

Thanks

Don, I just put mine back together about a week ago. It is kind of tricky to get that control arm into the slot on the inside pump assembly. It is hard to decribe, but what I did was block the control arm so the arm with the pin sticks straight out into the main chamber. Then I maneuvered the pump assembly around until the pin slipped into the slot. It took several tries as you are doing it blind. I think I flipped the actuator on the pump assembly up which is also difficult to control because if you bump it into anything it snaps back. Hope this helps. It is trial an error, but once you get it in place you will know it. I practiced first without the gasket so I wouldn't damage it, then did the final assembly with the gasket in place. Good luck. Roger

What is the lift ball assembly. If you mean the control attachment that goes outside to the manual control, no I left that in. But I did take the entire pump unit out and put in a new grease retainer and replaced the cast arm that warks off the lifter.
