The decal package we purchased came with two decals for the light switch. One shows "LH D B" and the other shows "O D B". We would appreciate some help selecting the correct decal to install to the light switch box. The tractor is a 1947 Farmall "M" and it still has the original wiring which is 6 volt, with a positive ground. Thanks for your help in advance.

47 is probably 4 position, meaning you have a cutout relay instead of a voltage regulator.

Thanks for both your response. I believe we have a 3 position switch, which I will check tomorrow when I install the decal.

The L H D B switch is for the four positions on the switch, which are, low charge (for charging the battery while working in the field), high charge (for barn yard and low RPM work), dim and bright. If you have a four position switch you should feel each click.

Now, if you already knew all of this and you're asking which switch is correct for your tractor, I'm not sure. My 48 H has the four position switch.

Good Luck
Paul

Paul, I agree with your post. But I always thought the B should have been an A.

A standing for: A Little Less Dim. My nickel Dick Davis

You have either a 3 position or 4 position switch. That will determine which decal to use.
