Hi gang,

Some of you folks may recall my e-mail of quite a few months ago about the toughest thing I ever did: sending my first born son to Iraq with the 1st Marines. I appreciated your feedback - thanks! It kept me and the family sustained, believe me.

Well, Some of you asked me to let you know how it went, so this is me chiming in. The good news is he's coming home tomorrow. A little torn around the edges, but healthy, and that's all I care about right now.

Thanks again to all you guys in IH red! Your thoughts and prayers did indeed help, and we're grateful!

JR

My hat is off with much gratitude and thanks for all who give of themselves for our great country. In spite of all the political bickering that goes on we can criticize our leaders if we wish and not get hauled off to prison, and best of all we can vote our choice of belief, a privilege that should be embraced by all, for every vote can make a difference.

John, Its great to hear that your son"s tour of duty in Iraq is complete and is comming home. I pray for all of our brave soldier"s safe return, which includes my Grandson who has been there since January. They are all to be commended and saluted for the incredible job they have done and are still doing. Dispite what the naysayers are spouting, we are making progress in this war against terrorism. Its just sad that too many folks thought it would be won and over with within the time frame of a T.V. movie.

Paul, make sure you tell your son that the whole danged country is proud as heck of him, and grateful to him for his service.

John, that goes for your grandson, too, and all the men and women in our armed forces. Thanks to all of them and may God bless them and keep them safe.

Glad to hear he is safe. It is too bad we cant kick the war on terror up a notch or two and nuke the bad guys, oops we wouldnt want to hurt anybody. One of the cool things I have heard on the news is when an AC130 gun ship emptys gatlin guns into terrorists on the ground in camps. Now that is the way to exterminate the enemy...let em eat lead.

I am so happy your son is coming home in good health. I am sure it is something he won"t want to do again, but will take nothing for the expearence.
