I decided to turn my rear wheels around so the dish is out and I can get more width. I tried real hard to loosen the clamp bolts without breaking them but I did break a couple. Are the half moon clamps available? Where should I try getting new ones. Can I use the newer style bigger bolt ones on my 48 M or do I have to stick with the original size? I'd rather change them than fight with getting the broken bolts out and having rusted up threads left.

I did 4 tractors and used new bolts and ani-seize to reassemble. Some bolts took a heat torch to remove. Good Luck.

I soaked those threads real well with PB Blaster right where they enter the adustable clamp before I tried loosening them. I used a 3/4 drive 6 point 1 inch impact socket with a break bar and a 3' cheater pipe to loosen. I got lucky and didn't break any. I replaced with new 3/4 by 4 inch bolts. The heads on the new ones are 1 1/8 inch 6 point. You can get a standard 3/4 drive socket on them to tighten. Impact socket will not fit. You should find a used clamp at any salvage yard.
